Mallets Aforethought
by Sarah Graves
ONE LINE SUMMARY: Ellie’s husband is accused of murdering a man who tried to swindle George’s aunt, and it’s up to the vastly pregnant Ellie and (mostly) Jake to find the real killer.
Clap-clap-clap-clap-clap!
That’s the sound of me enjoying a Home Repair is Homicide mystery…finally.
This one ties up neatly and has more realistic characterization than previous books, although Jacobia still has a tendency to do things as hard a way as possible, and without…ahem, much forethought. And yes, I did know who had committed the murder(s) by page 59.
