Grave Music
by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles
ONE LINE SUMMARY: Bill Slider must investigate the strange death of a star conductor who was working with Joanna’s orchestra.
Book 4 of the Bill Slider series is good–up until the end when suddenly the author kills off Bill’s boss in a sad and lonely way. I was infuriated by this because Bill shows almost no reaction to this, and I get the impression that Bill will have no aftereffects from the death when the next book starts. So if no one’s affected, what was the point of killing him off?
Other than that gripe, I enjoyed the book.
