Winnie-The-Pooh

by A. A. Milne

ONE LINE SUMMARY: Winnie the Pooh has adventures with the denizens of Hundred Acre Woods.

I only read the Winnie the Pooh books when I was much older–say, around 23 or so. I find them hilarious, and really much better enjoyed as an adult than I might have enjoyed them as a child. The only disturbing thing is that the back flap describes these books as having been written by A. A. Milne for his “only son”, Christopher Robin. So that makes me wonder–presumably there were other children, or C.R. would have been described as his “only child”, so does that mean the daughters of the family were less loved? Humph!
