Knitting For Baby

I was knitting a sweater for my boss’s upcoming baby when I stopped to survey what I’d completed so far.

“I just can’t figure this out,” I complained to Chris. “This is supposed to be a hood, but I just don’t see it.”

Chris glanced at what I had knitted. “No, it’s definitely a hood!” he said supportively. “See, you just fold it in half.” He picked up the material hanging from my needles and demonstrated.

“No, this is just half of the hood. I have to knit another piece exactly like this one and put them together.”

“Then that’s some fucked-up, repugnant shit,” he said promptly.
